women’s rowing

The Boston University women’s rowing team took second in a three-boat regatta on the Connecticut River Saturday, clocking in at 6:50.8 to place behind Yale University (6:46.0) but ahead of host Dartmouth College (7:03.6) in the varsity race. The Terriers also took runner-up in the second varsity race before placing first in the novice race with a time of 7:02.3.

Men’s Golf

The Boston University men’s golf team placed seventh out of 24 schools at the 31st-annual Lou Flumere Invitational last Thursday after combining to shoot a 326, only 22 strokes behind the overall winner, the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Freshman Steven Smith paced the Terriers with a round of 79 as senior Tushar Modi and freshman Dion Travagliante followed close behind with 82s.

Men’s Track and Field

The Boston University men’s track and field team may have sent a split squad to the Brown University Invitational on Saturday, but the Terriers gave more than a half-hearted performance with three top-10 finishes.

Junior Jeff McAulay took seventh in the long jump (6.57 meters) after leading four Terriers in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.41. Sophomore Pete Maitland placed seventh in the javelin throw (53.64 meters) while John Ebrecht came in at 10th (49.96 meters).
