STAFF EDITORIAL: Sharper website for BU
Logging on to the Boston University website is now a more enjoyable and useful experience than ever. A complete overhaul of the website has enabled students to quickly access practical and necessary information such as shuttle bus schedules and the Lifebook.

In 1989, when Monica Jain was born, her friend and classmate Christine Reinders was already chewing on bumble gum lollipops and playing with other children in a sandbox. And yet, today, they are both members of the College of Engineering Class of 2008. Jain is 15, and Reinders is 19.
CITY NEWS BRIEFS: Harvard funds skyrocket past $20 billion
Harvard University’s endowment surpassed $20 billion after the school reported a 21.1 percent return for the 2004 fiscal year on Monday. The university remains the world’s richest educational institution with a $22.6 billion endowment. The Harvard endowment grew significantly faster than that of the average American university – most schools saw relatively meager gains of only 4.
Annual RHA elections held, have normal turnout
Annual Resident Hall Association elections took place last night for all 14 residences across the Boston University campus, including the Hyatt Regency Cambridge and Holiday Inn in Brookline. Each dormitory held elections from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., differing by location.
BU receives $2.25 million grant for HIV project
Boston University recently received a $2.25 million grant to help lead a community-based alliance aimed at providing more efficient HIV prevention projects throughout Boston neighborhoods. The five-year grant, awarded to the Center for HIV/AIDS Care and Research at Boston University Medical Center, is one of about six or seven grants Massachusetts gives out to various institutions each year, said Paul Skolnik, CHACR director.
