After graduation, arts students struggling

A recent $100 million anonymous donation to the Yale University School of Music aimed at alleviating the financial pressures that come with seeking a career in the arts has raised questions regarding the future of arts education funding in the United States.

New site unites debt sufferers

Student debt is a hot topic on college campuses around the country in the wake of federal cuts to student aid, and a new website is giving students the chance to tell their debt stories and commiserate with their cash-strapped peers. Studentdebtalert.org, a project of the Public Interest Research Groups student chapters, began last month to raise awareness about student debt and help students share debt management techniques.

A reported problem by Boston University’s electricity provider NStar caused many campus buildings including Myles Standish Hall, 575 Commonwealth Avenue and the School of Management building to be without power from approximately 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
