Letters to the Editor: “RateMy” websites a two-way street
n Monday’s article about professors rating students (“Teacher blog rates students,” Jan. 30, p.1) should draw mixed reviews from any student body. Students critique professors on ratemyprofessors.com, so I believe professors should be able to critique students as well.
Staff Edit: Energizing a nation
Tonight President George W. Bush will discuss the war in Iraq and the fight against terrorism — topics that everyone agrees are pressing issues. But Bush also indicated in the past couple of days that he will spend part of his State of the Union address discussing something Americans will not be as familiar with: alternative energy.
Letters to the Editor: Castellano a fine choice for Union secretary
I am writing in response to last week’s article concerning John Marker’s Student Union secretarial nominee, Megan Castellano. I was upset to see people quoted in the article question her motive for running for the Union. As Megan’s Mock Trial captain, I know that anyone who would dare question Megan’s intentions for running for the Union has never had a conversation with her.
Perspective: Marker addresses Student Union concerns
Good morning everyone. I hope that the usual adjustment period has gone well and everyone has found some classes that they will enjoy for the semester. Once again, to introduce myself, I am Jon Marker and I am your Student Union president. If you ever have any concerns or questions about our school or policies, feel free to email me at jam8585@bu.
