Letters to the Editor: Fudge’s generalizations on race are just plain wrong
Brian Fudge’s assertion that “Everyone knows black people are superior athletes” is, simply put, false (“The key to winning in Torino is right under our noses,” Feb. 24, p.7); it’s like saying everyone knows Asian people are superior at academics, and not only do I know plenty who aren’t, but Asian dominance in schools isn’t at all about race (I should know, having tutored a number of them).

Department of Public Health to monitor prescription drugs
In an effort to crack down on prescription drug abuse, officials from the Department of Public Health proposed amendments to the Prescription Monitoring Program mandating that pharmacists check identification for all customers filling prescriptions for Schedule II drugs which have a high abuse risk, at a hearing on Monday morning.
Goldberg takes recycling effort into own hands
