Staff Edit: Judging the judges
In the latest manifestation of Republican assaults on the judiciary, Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey is calling for a new panel that would have the power to review judges every seven years and, if necessary, remove them from the bench. College of Engineering offers unique overseas programs
Because engineering is a more and more global field, Boston University’s College of Engineering is strongly encouraging capable students to study abroad to help them develop a worldwide perspective of the future careers. College of Engineering dean ad interim Solomon Eisenberg said students learn the same engineering skills abroad that they would learn on campus, but they gain valuable understanding of other cultures and perspectives.
Latinos Unidos recognize important women of all races, cultures
Despite its 11 p.m. time slot, Boston University’s Latinos Unidos added to the flavor of multicultural weekend, celebrating women of all cultures through various forms of artistic expression and by highlighting historically important, lesser known women to more than 200 people during “Noche de Damas” at the George Sherman Union’s BU Central.
