Union ends another year of in-fighting, turmoil

The Boston University Student Union’s semester was marked by internal conflict and limited progress on issues, resulting in several initiatives being left to fully develop over the summer and in future semesters. The trouble began at the first Student Union meeting of the semester, when former secretary Ricky Junquera resigned from his position.

BU sells Hamilton House

Boston University’s Hamilton House was sold to Alpha Reality Boston last week for an estimated $8 million, according to BU spokesperson Colin Riley. The student residence, which has had serious structural problems from more than a year, was not used during the spring semester and was only partially used during the fall semester to house students in the Center for English Language and Orientation Programs.
