Boston Bans High-powered Hand Guns
The Boston City Council continued its fight against the highly-publicized, escalating gun violence in Boston by adding three powerful handguns to a 1989, assault weapons ban on Wednesday. “Given that we just saw the ugliest and deadliest year in over a decade in regards to gun violence in Boston and that these weapons hit the streets in recent shootings, we must act quickly to protect our visitors and residents,” said Council President Michael Flaherty President.
