LETTER: Women need more control

n My reaction to Olena Ripnick’s article (“As a majority, women need to stand up and be counted,” Sept. 27, p. 5) can be summed up in one word: Amen! Finally, I read a straightforward, factual argument illustrating how women are ignored and marginalized in our country.

LETTER: Men do not oppress women

n Olena Ripnick’s column regarding females in government (“As a majority, women need to stand up and be counted,” Sept. 27, p. 5) falsely alleged gender oppression with misleading claims and ignorance of the US Constitution. Dear Megan Amanda Steffen, Gracias for your letter. I spent a lot of time thinking about what you said, and I’ve decided it’s time to make a change.
