FLUM: Rivalry against Eagles transcends the game
Just in case you didn’t know, Boston University’s most important home game of the season is going to be at Agganis Arena Saturday. It is a time for BU to finally take advantage of “The Song.” This is the first opportunity for us to scream, “BC sucks” and have it actually refer to our opponent.
Indoor track preseaon polls
Boston University’s men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams are sitting pretty after the official preseason rankings were released. The women, last year’s America East Champions, received seven of eight possible first place votes in the coach’s poll, putting them atop the conference preseason standings, while the men’s team were ranked third in their conference.
Top opponents prep Terriers
Despite injuries, a three game road trip to start the season and a tough game against a nationally ranked team, the Boston University women’s basketball team (3-2) finds itself sitting in fourth place in a top-heavy America East conference. The Terriers began their season on a three-game winning streak, beating the University of Rhode Island by 20 points in the opener, holding off the University of Missouri-Kansas City by a single bucket and notched another blowout victory against Northeastern University.
Terriers outplayed, but outlast Bobcats
The captain of a team is meant to be the leader both on and off the ice — a definition that Boston University women’s ice hockey team lived up to last night. The Terriers’ co-captains Cara Hendry and Gina Kearns led by example in their 4-3 road victory over Quinnipiac University.
Ryan prepares for life after track
Boston University senior Marisa Ryan was only 11-years-old when she first heard her calling. As a child growing up in Farmington, Conn., she dabbled in many different sports, but it wasn’t until a fifth grade gym class that she realized her love for running.
