Peace Corps notes large BU alumni involvement

Boston University, with 68 graduate students currently serving in the Peace Corps, BU was recently ranked high among large universities in the country for its service in the program. Released Jan. 16, the 2007 ranking, which categorizes schools by size, lists the university 10th for its alumni volunteer service and 5th for its graduate volunteer service in 2006.

Study-abroad students find new homes on campus

Whether traveling back from abroad programs or traveling from across the river, Boston University students moving into on-campus housing for the spring semester are guaranteed housing, despite more than 700 new residents and the possibility of not receiving first choices in roommate and room assignment, according to the Office of Housing.

From Boston to Broadway

Last year, Samantha Futerman was taking acting classes in the College of Fine Arts, eating in the West Campus dining hall and hanging out in Sleeper Hall every night. This year, the sophomore is at home with her family in Verona, N.J., far removed from the life at Boston University she was just getting used to.
