M. Tennis downs Holy Cross
Momentum is working on the side of the Boston University men’s tennis team, as they moved back to .500 after easily handling the Holy Cross Crusaders in a 6-1 victory Wednesday afternoon. It was the second-straight victory for the Terriers (8-8), who are about to enter the most important stretch of their season.
Splitting the difference
The Boston University softball team bounced back from a tight extra-inning defeat to cruise to a victory in the second game of a doubleheader against Harvard University at the BU Softball Field. The Terriers (16-7) captured a 10-4 win in the second game, while Harvard (9-7) took the first matchup, 2-1, in nine innings in BU’s first home game of the season.
Splitting the difference
With Major League Baseball opening its season in just two days, the Boston University softball team did its best MLB impression by playing nine heart-pounding innings against Harvard University yesterday afternoon. In the first game of a doubleheader, the Terriers and Crimson were locked in a pitcher’s duel.
Terriers looking for revenge against Retrievers
The toughest non-conference stretch of the Terriers’ 2007 campaign is undoubtedly over, now that contests against Northwestern University and Yale University are in the books. But that doesn’t mean they can waltz through the rest of the year after a sluggish 3-4 start.
LETTER: Citizens should participate, stop criticizing protesters
n With reference to Adan Berkowitz (“On the Common, searching for ’60s protest,” Mar. 28, p.5), I find some agreement that the rally and march on the Boston Common against the war could have been less jovial and more focused. However, such an event is the expression of those who attend it.
