Family, friends remember Adelipour at Hillel service
Seen through photo slideshows and a home video, Stephen Adelipour’s memorial service yesterday was more a celebration of the 22-year-old’s life than a reminder of his death. Family and friends gathered on the fourth floor of the Florence ‘ Chavetz Hillel House to pay their final respects to Adelipour, whom friends called Stefan.
BU center would not affect cost, officials say
Funding for Boston University’s plans for a lively campus center near the BU Bridge will not have an effect on the total cost of attending the university, officials say. Unveiled last week, the plans include a public-transportation center, sidewalk cafés, shops and academic buildings.

While Boston University continues to assist the Recording Industry Association of America in identifying illegal downloaders on the campus network, three American universities are fighting back, saying it is not school officials’ responsibility to track down students for the RIAA.

Boston University forwarded emails from the Recording Industry Association of America to 46 students Tuesday asking them to delete illegally downloaded files from their computers and offering out-of-court settlements of about $3,000 for illegal filesharing.

A wise man once said, “The negativity in this town sucks.” Okay, so that wise man was Rick Pitino, and he wasn’t really wise during his time in Boston. But he was on to something. Watching the Terrier hockey game Friday night with my roommates left us all immensely disappointed.
