Offshore wind farm wins state approval
The intensely debated project to build wind turbines off the coast of Nantucket Sound took a step further toward construction Friday when it passed a state review, but the project still awaits federal approval. Environmental Affairs Secretary Ian Bowles announced the Cape Wind project’s Final Environment Impact Report had been signed, allowing Cape Wind Associates, LLC.
