Tree tradition lights up Common

City carolers joined Mayor Thomas Menino, Red Sox mascot Wally the Green Monster and Santa Claus on the Boston Common yesterday to watch the city’s 66th annual tree lighting and be serenaded by Grammy-winner Jose Feliciano when he performed “Feliz Navidad.”

Lowe will return to court Saturday

After missing two road games for what Boston University men’s basketball coach Dennis Wolff termed “personal reasons,” sophomore guard Corey Lowe will return to practice today and play against Manhattan College on Saturday.
