While we often define “epic movies” as those with the largest explosions, large-scale love stories are rare. Those we do see usually come from books. Atonement, based on Ian McEwan’s 2001 novel, is one of those.

The holidays are a time of tradition: skating on the Frog Pond, trimming the tree and, of course, snuggling up to Christmas classics like A Christmas Story and It’s A Wonderful Life.
