LETTER: Students can’t be branded

You stand on a street corner on the BU campus and what do you hear? It’s hard to say, really. Because the best thing about Boston University is that you can’t experience it while standing still.

In response to Isis Madrid’s column (“Where hipsters runneth over,” Jan. 30, p. 6) I call shenanigans. Everyone knows that real hipsters inhabit Espresso Royale and do not need 10 speeds on a bike.

After the last Student Union meeting, I felt there are things that need to be said about both the way the Union has acted and what students have a right to expect. As a member of the Union, I’m aware that it is not a perfect organization.
