Athletes donate brains to research
More than a dozen professional athletes have agreed to donate their brains post-mortem to the new Boston University Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy, athletes and researchers said.
Tanning points
Despite research suggesting negative effects of indoor tanning, many universities not only provide tanning facilities on campus, they also allow students to use the funds on their student ID cards to pay for the salons’ services.
State nixes traffic cops
The familiar sight of boys in blue waving pedestrians through the Commonwealth Avenue gauntlet will give way to orange-vested civilians Friday after the state cut funding for local police to guide traffic on state construction projects.
