Lowe, O’Brien combine for 48 as Terriers top Northeastern
BU’s 83-75 victory over crosstown rival Northeastern University (3-2) Tuesday night at Matthews Arena, a game in which the Terriers (3-1) shot 15-of-31 from beyond the arc and highlighted not only by outstanding individual performances from Lowe (27 points, 6 assists) and freshman Jake O’Brien (21 points – all in the second half), but the team as a whole, made a statement.

A win in name only
The box score will show that the Boston University men’s hockey team defeated the College of the Holy Cross, 3-2, Tuesday night in front of 4,710 at Agganis Arena. What it won’t show, however, is the grave level of concern coach Jack Parker has for his No. 8 Terriers (8-4-0), who seem to be gradually losing the confidence and swagger that recently propelled them to national prominence.
Late goal lifts St. John’s past BU
The Boston University men’s soccer team controlled play for much of the first half of Tuesday night’s second-round NCAA Tournament matchup against No. 3 St. John’s University, but failed to make the one play that would result in a goal, dropping a 1-0 decision in Queens, N.Y.
