BU set to renew rivalry with NU
Northeastern University used to be in the same conference as Boston University. The Terriers and Huskies used to play twice (sometimes more) a year and exchanged blows as if both were championship fighters.
Road woes drop Terriers back to .500
The Boston University women’s basketball team started its five-game road trip with an unblemished 2-0 record before suffering back-to-back losses to the University of Iowa and the University of Portland this weekend in the Hawkeye Challenge, 83-58 and 74-62, respectively.
Crusaders set to invade Agganis for non-league bout
It was a weekend sweep that no one saw coming. The No. 8 Boston University men’s hockey team had just rebounded from its first true setback of the season ‘-’- a 5-1 drubbing at the No. 17 University of Massachusetts-Amherst ‘-’- with a shutout win over No. 4 Northeastern University two nights later.
Fourth-ranked women’s hockey topples rival
It was a road win. It was a conference win. It was a rivalry win. But for arguably the first time in program history, the No. 4 Boston University women’s hockey team’s 4-1 win over No. 8 Boston College on Saturday was not an upset victory.
The Calm Before the Storm
The Boston University men’s soccer team will look to advance to the third round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history today when it travels to Queens, N.Y., to take on No. 3 St. John’s University at 5 p.m.
