Cornell sends reeling Terriers to third straight loss
Following a two-point loss to the University of Delaware on Dec. 21 at Case Gymnasium, after which Boston University men’s basketball coach Dennis Wolff said he was disappointed in his team for the first time all season, the Terriers turned out an embarrassing performance Monday night against Cornell University – an 89-59 stomping at the hands of the team picked to win the Ivy League this season.
Lee’s case adjourned until April
Boston University senior Victoria Lee’s case was adjourned until April 2 when she appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court Monday for allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a broken glass in a New York nightclub Nov. 30.
Wiesel’s foundation loses $15.2 million to Madoff’s alleged scheme
The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity, which was founded by Holocaust survivor and Boston University professor Elie Wiesel, lost ‘substantially all of the Foundation’s assets,’ but it will remain in operation, according to a statement posted on the foundation’s website Wednesday.

BMC cuts equivalent of 130 full-time jobs
Boston Medical Center officials announced Wednesday that they will be cutting the equivalent of 130 full-time jobs and halting a $2 million subsidy to the Quincy Medical Center amongst other cost-cutting measures in response to reduced government funding, which includes Medicaid.
