No such luck

By the very loose standards that regulate college basketball’s 344 teams, it was the No. 12/13 University of Notre Dame that should have led the Boston University men’s basketball team, 33-27, at the half. Notre Dame should have easily outrebounded an undersized Terrier team. And the Irish should have convincingly won their 41st consecutive game at Joyce Center, especially against a team that hasn’t conquered a ranked opponent since 1959.

The Boston Public Health Commission unanimously approved the Tobacco Regulation Amendment Thursday, which will ban tobacco sales on college campuses and shut down cigar and hookah bars.

Defense returns to form in low-scoring affair

It’s not often that a team has its top two scorers notch 10 points below their average, shoot a combined 22 percent and still win the game. Yet this was the case for the Boston University men’s basketball team, which managed to pull off a 55-43 victory Wednesday against Yale University at Case Gymnasium due to stingy defense of its own.
