M. bball heads to Hartford

The chapters of the Boston University men’s basketball team’s season thus far have been many and varied. Upon concluding one of the most intriguing segments of the season and perhaps (given the quality of games – the six overtime periods and the 18-point comeback victory), the last three seasons, the exhausted Terriers were afforded two days of rest early in the week.

LETTER: Camp closing necessary

While the impending closure of the Sargent Center for Outdoor Education is a shame, it falls short of tragedy. I have been to the SCOE five times since arriving at Boston University as a freshman in 1998.

The 2008 presidential election has sent ‘red Americans,’ (those citizens of the great bulwark of red states that anchor the flighty blue coasts) into hiding – at least if the post-election episode of ‘South Park’ is to be believed.

STAFF EDIT: New neighbors not wanted

Allston-Brighton residents are no strangers to living with college students. The area is heavily populated with Boston University students who live off-campus, and Harvard University owns several buildings in Allston. Now, Boston College wants to expand into the neighborhood. The decision by the Boston Redevelopment Authority to permit BC to house hundreds of students on their Brighton Campus will have a negative impact on the community and should not be carried out.
