What’s cooler than being cool?

The following reports were taken from the Boston Police Department Allston-Brighton District D-14 crime logs from Jan. 23 to Feb.2

Police responded to the report of an alleged robbery at 7:36 p.m. Jan. 30. Three men allegedly took another man’s wallet and iPod. The man stated the first suspect threw him against the wall and took the items, while the second told him to ‘be cool, be cool,’ and the third stood lookout.

ICE COLD

Police responded to a larceny in progress at Tedeschi Food Store at 12:30 a.m. Feb. 2. A store clerk reported that four men grabbed frozen food items and left without paying. When the clerk confronted one of the suspects, the clerk was thrown to the ground. The suspects then got into a dark van and drove away on Beacon Street.

MUST’VE USED FLOO POWDER

Police responded to an apartment burglary and theft at 15 Linden Street at 12:50 a.m. Feb. 1. Four computers, two iPods, a social security card and $100 were reported stolen. All four roommates, who were out of the apartment between 9 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. on Jan. 31, found the items missing upon their return. Both the building’s entrance and the door to the apartment were locked, and there were no signs of forced entry.

REMOVE YOUR HAT WHEN A LADY IS PRESENT

Police responded to a call from a bank teller at 10:09 a.m. Jan. 23. The victim said she was working at the teller window when a man wearing a black hood and sunglasses approached the window. She asked him to remove the glasses and hood. The suspect obeyed, and then handed the teller a note that read, ‘Don’t cause a scene, no alarms, no dye packs, $100s, $50s and $20s and nobody gets hurt.’ She gave him all of the $20 bills, waited for him to leave and then sounded the alarm. The bank’s vice president provided the police with surveillance photos, but the image was not clear. The note was taken as evidence.

PART OF THE GREEN MOVEMENT

Officers pulled a car over at 1:18 a.m.’ Jan. 27 after seeing a problem with its license plate and watching a person wearing a facemask get into the vehicle. When the driver rolled his window down, the officer noticed a strong odor of freshly burnt marijuana. Upon frisking the driver, the officers found four individually wrapped plastic bags containing what was believed to be marijuana and $103 in small bills. After a searching the vehicle, the officers found a plastic bag of an herbal substance on the floor of the car. The driver was then arrested for possession with intent to sell. During the booking process, officer found two more bags of a green herbal substance as well as $129 from the suspect’s wallet.

MOFO FO’ SHO’

Police responded to a call at 2 p.m. Feb. 1 of a man who claimed to have been threatened by an acquaintance. The suspect reportedly said, ‘F — you, mofo. I’ll kill you, I’ll kill your wife,’ and then blocked the victim’s driveway with his car, refusing to let the victim leave. The man who reported the crime said the suspect was his roommate’s brother, but does not know why the suspect threatened him.
