The road-tested Boston University women’s basketball team will play its first home game since Feb. 11 when it takes on the cellar-dwelling University of Maine at Agganis Arena on Sunday at 12 p.m.

For nearly four years, the University of Hartford was the face of America East women’s basketball. Two wins in the NCAA Tournament, a win in the NIT and four wins against ranked opponents cemented the Hawks’ status as the team to beat.

It’s been a season of firsts for the Boston University men’s basketball team, which is odd, considering the amount of experience the veteran squad has accumulated over the years.
Can’t worry about just Dalton
Before the Boston University women’s lacrosse team’s season began yesterday afternoon, much talk had centered on the offensive skill of senior captain Sarah Dalton. The returning goals (71) and points (84) leader from last year’s America East championship and NCAA Tournament team was ready to guide this season’s attack to a repeat run.
