Terriers host RPI Friday
Boston University men’s hockey coach Jack Parker ran through the short list of Terriers who have not let him down in 2009-10. The role call only included senior Eric Gryba, junior Joe Pereira, sophomore Ross Gaudet and the entire freshman class.
No rest for the weary
While the rest of Boston University’s student body will be resting over an almost month-long winter break, the men’s basketball team will be putting in plenty of work against tough opponents during those same weeks.
Moran tallies 18 as Terriers fall to Yale, 61-57
The Boston University women’s basketball team wrapped up a three-game swing against Ivy League opponents by losing to Yale University, 61-57, last night in New Haven, Conn.
Bleeding Scarlet
Close family friends of former Terrier great Mike Sullivan, his parents had Boston University men’s hockey season tickets. The youngest of three brothers, he spent winter days on the backyard ponds of his native Marshfield and weekend nights inside Walter Brown Arena, a witness to the heydays of names like Drury, Tkachuk and Grier.
Shark tails
I sat alone, inhaling the earthy aromas of fresh ginseng spiked with boiled dungeon crab, my nervous foot tapping the ground in sync with my rapid heart rate. She came over to me, and carelessly scribbled my order down after I pointed to it on the laminated pages of the menu, before I ordered a giant glass of Pinto Grigio to drink my nerves close to a coma.
