INTERROBANG
‘ ‘ ‘ Generally speaking, everything Apple touches turns to gold. Yet the technology giant’s unveiling of its latest gadget, the iPad ‘-’- which the Internet has cleverly nicknamed the iTampon ‘-’- seems to have (namewise) missed the mark. In light of the hilarity that has ensued, we here at the ol’ Free Press would like to point out a few shortfalls of Apple’s latest creation.
STAFF EDIT: A call to measure up
Howard Zinn was a passionate activist whose affinity for the underrepresented voices of history led him to be an investigative historian with eye-opening perspectives that brought about change. And though he was undoubtedly an avid supporter of electing the more deserving candidate a year ago last November ‘- even if only for the sake of electoral progressiveness ‘- his opinion of President Barack Obama’s achievements within the administration’s first year were not so lofty.
HAGEN: Tired of reality” love
Whether they are willing to admit it or not, everyone has a favorite reality dating television show. In eighth grade I was glued to the TV watching ‘Joe Millionaire.’ In the show a bevy of women were misinformed that their handsome bachelor was also a multi-millionaire. In the end it was revealed that his salary was more in the low five digits, and America wondered with bated breath if the show’s ‘winner’ would choose her charming, albeit penniless, prince, or if it was all about money the whole time. In the end, love won out ‘-’- probably in light of the risk of her looking like a cold gold-digger on national TV if she chose otherwise ‘-’- and they ended up happily together forever. I’m just kidding. They actually broke up immediately after the show wrapped up. It was not a huge shocker.
