Rain, rain . . . won’t go away anytime soon, so Boston University Housing officials advised students to take caution.

Stranger chat sites facilitate communication between parties that are, generally, strangers to one another. Websites like Omegle and Chatroulette pair up users to allow instant face-to-face and text-to-text chatting. Conversation can lull after the ubiquitous greeting of “Hey!” but if two strangers hold off on “nexting” one another, these sites can lead to friendships or at least an interesting way to stave off boredom.

The America East Conference is not known for high-flying dunks that sports fans see on ESPN’s top plays. Junior forward John Holland has thrown down some rim-rattlers, but the only player in the conference with the athleticism to do it on a consistent basis is University of Vermont senior forward Marqus Blakely. Fortunately, Boston University men’s basketball coach Patrick Chambers’ 2011 freshman class is accented by a player who has the ability to make prolific plays and fill up the seats.
