Republican minority stymies financial reform bill

The Republican minority in the Senate blocked a financial oversight bill on Monday that would have more strictly controlled financial organizations and reformed Wall Street.

U.S. Senate Republicans were the driving force behind shooting down further talks surrounding national reform of financial practices, claiming the bill is not ready to be taken seriously and is being rushed in Washington. What the party fails to recognize is as long as plans for Wall Street reformation remain stagnated, Americans will continue to suffer and wither under the weight of what has already been killing them for more than two years. If the bill were to be passed minutes from now, there would still be no evidence of rushing in sight.
