FLAGLER: On-ice success begins with play in net
The Boston University men’s and women’s ice hockey teams are both off to tremendous starts. But a strength both teams have shown this season that has been a huge part of their early success is their goaltending.
W. soccer sweeps AE awards
On the field, the Boston University women’s soccer has exerted its complete dominance over its America East opponents, outscoring them by a 32-0 margin and posting a perfect 8-0-0 conference record. Off the pitch, it’s even more of the same for the Terriers (14-5-0, 8-0-0 AE) as they swept all six of AE’s major annual awards, the conference announced Wednesday.
Time running out for BU field hockey
The No. 16/20 Boston University field hockey team might have realized something after playing its heart out for 100 minutes but still losing to University at Albany on penalty strokes – it is running out of games to turn this losing streak around.
AE title signals how far Terriers have come since disastrous 2009
Looking to rebound from an uncharacteristically mediocre 2009 season, the Boston University men’s soccer team was looking for a shot at redemption throughout this entire season, a chance to prove that 2009 was an anomaly for what has been the premier team in the America East conference for much of the past two decades.
Clinched in a cinch
With its sixth win in the last seven games and its first four-goal game of the year, the Boston University men’s soccer team clinched its 10th America East regular-season championship in a 4-0 win over Binghamton University Wednesday night.
