Campus Crime Logs: Party In The U.S.A.

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from April 18 to April 24.
BUPD officers identified about 26 people, both BU students and non-affiliates, at a party on 504 Park Drive at 12:30 a.m. on April 18. Several party attendees will be summoned to the Brighton District Court for possession of marijuana and alcohol.

A Joint Effort

On April 18 at 1 p.m. a male student was given a $100 citation for smoking a marijuana cigarette outside of 900 Beacon St.

Marathon Madness

At 1:20 p.m. on April 18 a male student was stopped outside of 836 Beacon St. and given a $200 citation for having an open container of alcohol.

Blame it on the Juice

A male non-affiliate was stopped near 500 Park Drive on April 19 at 1 a.m. and cited for carrying an open container of alcohol.

Burrito burglar

The manager at Olecito! called BUPD on April 19 at 5:30 p.m. to report that $1,300 was missing from the cash register.

Watch out

On April 20 at 12:30 p.m. a male student reported to BUPD that his $1,300 watch had been stolen from his dormitory in Student Village 2.

Leave it to Craigslist

A female student contacted BUPD from Sleeper Hall on April 20 at 8 p.m. because after ordering Rosetta Stone from a male suspect on Craigslist in early April, she was sent a fake package.

Racial slur

On April 21 at about 6:50 p.m. a female student called BUPD from her dormitory because unknown suspects had written a racially motivated threat on her door.

Text mystery

BUPD received a report on April 21 at 4 p.m. from a female student in Claflin Hall that while she was gone from her dorm for about two hours, someone had stolen her cell phone. However, the suspect sent an unauthorized text from the phone, giving police a lead in the investigation.

Bathroom break

A male student left his laptop unattended in the George Sherman Union for about 10 minutes while going to the restroom on April 22 at about 6 p.m. When he returned, the laptop had been stolen.

Car-ceny

On April 24 at 4 p.m. a male student reported that he had parked his car on Cummington Street, and when he returned, his GPS and iPod Touch had been stolen.

Photonics and electronics

A male student parked outside of the Photonics Center on April 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. When he returned, someone had broken into his vehicle and taken his iPod.
