On Saturday night Dispatch graced Agganis Arena, performing favorites like “Elias” and “The General” to their 7,200 loyal fans. After the show, the Boston native band surprised everyone on Facebook with an announcement that they would be playing a free short set Sunday night at Brighton Music Hall.
At BMH, the band reminisced about playing old Boston venues like Harper’s Ferry in the early nineties and the first time they heard themselves on the radio (92.9, everybody).
They played their biggest and oldest hits, bought a round of Guinness for the entire venue, and even casually hung from the rafters briefly in between songs. The crowd was jam-packed with Patriots jerseys and Red Sox hats, the owners of which knew all the words to every single song, dancing and clapping with more fervor than I’ve ever seen on a Sunday afternoon.
MUSE photographer, Annie Maroon, got the chance to document the experience.
