CITY CRIME LOGS: April 2 to April 8

The following crime reports were taken from the Allston-Brighton D-14 crime logs from April 2 to April 8.

Construction tools taken from job site

On Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., a superintendent from GT Building Construction approached an officer on duty at 75 Brainerd Rd. The superintendent said between Feb. 16 and April 1, construction tools were removed from the job site. Detectives plan to investigate further.

Suspects run with victim’s purse

At 2:13 a.m. on Thursday, officers received a call to 184 Brighton Ave. for a robbery. The victim told officers four people had approached her and a friend while walking to the Bank of America near Quint Avenue. One suspect grabbed the victim’s bag. All suspects fled on Quint Avenue and were not found. The victim reported that one of the suspects wore a red hooded sweatshirt.

Victim robbed at knifepoint

On Friday at 10:30 a.m., police received a report of an armed robbery that occurred at Commonwealth Avenue and Allston Street at 3:45 a.m. that morning. According to the victim, two suspects approached him and pushed him up against a dumpster. One suspect pressed a knife to his throat while the other emptied the victim’s pockets. The suspect told the victim, “You better give me what you have unless you want to be lying down here.” The suspects took the victim’s wallet, money, identification and cell phone.

Neighbor holds door open for suspect to enter building

At 7:30 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a robbery at 299 North Harvard St. The victims said they found their back door open and the apartment in shambles upon arriving home. A neighbor stated that an unknown male said he was visiting the neighbors upstairs and asked for him to hold the door open. The victims think the suspect came in through the porch window. A laptop was reported missing.

Suspect takes money from church donation boxes

On Saturday at 8:30 a.m., officers arrived at St. Columbkille Parish on 321 Market St. for a report of a larceny. A witness said she heard a loud noise while she was praying in the lower level of the church. She observed the suspect break open the St. Vincent De Paul donation containers and remove money. The suspect fled after the witness approached him.

Computer stolen, no signs of suspect 

On Sunday, officers received a report of larceny at 12 Gerald Rd. between 11:00 p.m. on April 5 and 7:00 a.m. on April 6. The victim said unknown persons stole her Apple laptop. There were no signs of forced entry and no other items were reported missing.
