Campus Crime Logs: Jan. 29 – Feb. 4

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4.

MacBook Pro stolen from classroom

On Friday at about 4:50 p.m., a female student’s MacBook pro was stolen from her backpack in a classroom at 685 Commonwealth Ave.

RAs report students, guest for alcohol possession

Residence Assistants reported two students and one guest on Friday at about 11:42 p.m. for possession of alcohol at 275 Babcock St., West Campus’ Sleeper Hall.

Anonymous phone threat received

Security officers at Claflin Hall at 273 Babcock St. reported receiving an anonymous phone call on Saturday at about 3:34 a.m. that a BU student was going to “rough up” his girlfriend. Officers spoke with the female who said “there was nothing to it.”

MacBook Pro stolen from study area

On Saturday at about 2 p.m., an 18-year-old male BU student reported his MacBook Pro was stolen after he left it unattended for three hours in the second-floor study area at Student Village II at 33 Harry Agganis Way.

Dorm items reported stolen after winter break

Two students reported Saturday at about 4:50 p.m. that items from their dorm room at 610 Beacon St. were stolen. They believe the theft may have occurred on Dec. 19, 2014. Articles of clothing, a stereo and television were reported missing when they came back from winter break.

Student receives unwanted attention

A 19-year-old female BU student reported feeling threatened by a male BU student at Claflin Hall at 273 Babcock St. on Saturday at about 5:03 p.m. The male student put his arm around the female student. An officer spoke with the male student and his roommate on their floor. The incident was categorized as an assault.

Students harassed by non-BU student

On Monday at about 3:27 a.m., two students reported an encounter they had with a non-affiliated student who was visiting the campus at Claflin Hall at 273 Babcock St. The student made inappropriate comments and touched the two BU students.

Student reports threatening phone calls

On Monday at about 4:54 a.m., a student reported receiving phone calls of harassment at Warren Towers at 700 Comm. Ave. 

Jacket worth $700 stolen

A female student reported on Tuesday at about 5:21 p.m. that her jacket, valued at $700, was stolen from the fourth floor of Mugar Memorial Library at 771 Comm. Ave. The jacket contained her Terrier Card and keys.

Package stolen from lobby of apartment building

Residents at 14 Buswell St. in South Campus reported Tuesday at about 8:48 p.m. that a package containing shoes had been stolen from the lobby. They believe the theft occurred on Jan. 20 at about 7:25 p.m.
