Campus Crime Logs: Feb. 6 – Feb. 11

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department from Feb. 6 to Feb. 11.

Backpack with laptop and headphones stolen at party

A 19-year-old male student reported his backpack with his computer and headphones was stolen at approximately 12:58 p.m. on Friday. He was attending a party at 860 Beacon St. and left the backpack in a bedroom. The laptop was valued at $1,500.

Jacket with wallet stolen from FitRec

On Friday at approximately 2:47 p.m., a 20-year-old female student reported a theft that occurred at 915 Commonwealth Ave., BU’s Fitness and Recreation Center. Her jacket containing her wallet and credit cards was taken between 1:30 p.m. and 2:42 p.m., she reported, from the first-floor locker room. The jacket was valued at $700.

Student drops phone at Packard’s Corner

A 26-year-old female BU student reported on Friday at approximately 6:40 p.m. that she fell and dropped her cell phone around the Packard’s Corner area. When she returned to search for it, she could not find it. The phone was valued at $500.

Large amounts of alcohol found in West Campus dorm room

At approximately 11:54 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a report of alcohol possession at Rich Hall at 277 Babcock St. in West Campus. An 18-year-old male student and a 19-year-old female student received summons for underage possession.

Camera stolen from student’s vehicle

On Saturday, a 20-year-old female student reported at approximately 1:33 a.m. that someone had broken into her vehicle parked at 610 Beacon St. A camera, valued at $1,300, was taken.

Unknown person reported using student’s cell phone

A 19-year-old female student reported Saturday at approximately 4:40 p.m. that her phone was stolen. The victim was unsure how it was taken, but reported that an unknown person was using it. She believes the theft happened between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m.

BUPD responds to an argument at FitRec

Officers responded to a dispute on the basketball court at FitRec at 915 Commonwealth Ave. on Sunday at approximately 3:30 p.m. Two people, not affiliated with BU, ran into each other and had a verbal argument.

Students could face criminal charges for sharing nude photos of another student

Residence Life reported that two students took photos of a male student who was passed out and undressed in the seventh floor bathroom of Claflin Hall at 273 Babcock St. The incident occurred Sunday at approximately 2:48 a.m. The students used a photo-sharing app to send the photos to others. The two students are being investigated and may face criminal charges.

Wallet stolen from student’s jacket

A 21-year-old male student reported Sunday at approximately 9:33 p.m. that he left his jacket containing his wallet, credit cards and money on the first floor of 521 Beacon St. The jacket was left for several hours, and the contents were taken.
