Campus Crime Logs: Oct. 8 – Oct. 12

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department from Oct. 8 to 12.

Five males placed under arrest for possession of alcohol
On Oct. 8 at 12:29 a.m., BUPD officers caught two underage male students and three underage male non-affiliates drinking and playing loud music in the rear alley at 115 Bay State Rd. All five were placed under arrest for minor in possession. One was also issued a civil citation for less than one ounce of marijuana.

Cell phone and credit cards stolen from Panera Bread
A female student reported Oct. 8 at 11:15 a.m. that her cell phone and credit cards were stolen from Panera Bread at 888 Commonwealth Ave.

Laptop stolen from Metcalf Science Center
A female student reported Friday at 5:34 p.m. that her laptop and backpack were both stolen from the fourth floor of the Metcalf Science Center at 590 Commonwealth Ave.

Two students summonsed to court for alcohol possession
On Friday at 8:44 p.m., officers found two students carrying alcohol at Gardner Street and Malvern Street. One was 20 and is being issued a citation for minor in possession, and the other was 21 and is being issued a citation for giving the younger student alcohol. Both have been summonsed to Brighton District Court.

Male student transported to Boston University Medical Campus
Officers found an unconscious, intoxicated male student on the sidewalk outside of Myles Standish Hall on Saturday at 2:31 a.m. The student was transported to BUMC.

Laptop and wallet stolen from George Sherman Union
A female student reported Saturday at 4:40 p.m. that she had left her laptop and wallet at a booth in the GSU and returned to find that both were missing.

Two students summonsed to court for possessing alcohol
Officers observed three underage male parties carrying alcohol on Gardner Street on Saturday at 8:58 p.m. Two are being summonsed to Brighton District Court.

Marijuana found at 91 Bay State Rd.
On Sunday at 7:58 a.m., an employee at 91 Bay State Rd., Kilachand Hall, found a brown over-the-shoulder bag containing multiple pipes made for smoking marijuana along with a pill bottle containing marijuana in the men’s restroom on the first floor. No suspect was present.

Larceny reported at Fitness and Recreation Center
Officers responded Sunday at 8:45 a.m to a larceny reported by a witness who saw a suspect run out of FitRec onto Pleasant Street. BUPD identified the suspect as a male non-affiliate. The suspect had stolen the victim’s car keys and workout supplements from the locker room in FitRec. The suspect had a warrant out for his arrest and was arrested for larceny and trespassing. He will be summonsed to Brighton District Court.

Barnes and Noble shoplifters arrested
Loss prevention officers from Barnes and Noble at 660 Beacon St. followed two suspected shoplifters into the Kenmore Square Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority station on Sunday at 4:44 p.m. Officers apprehended one suspect, a male non-affiliate, who will be summonsed to Boston Municipal Court.
