Campus Crime Logs Jan. 25 – 31

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Jan. 25 to Jan. 31.

 Trespassing and threats at 775 Commonwealth Ave.

Officers responded to an altercation Sunday in the George Sherman Union Food Court at 6:29 p.m. A 31-year-old female victim reported that she was heating her food in a microwave when a male party behind her threatened her. Officers identified the subject as someone who had been previously arrested and charged for trespassing at BU. The suspect had been summoned for trespassing.

Assault and battery at 700 Commonwealth Ave.

Officers responded to a report of a female student who was indecently assaulted by a male student Sunday at 6 p.m. The victim has a stayaway order issued from the Residence Life office, and they reported that the male suspect touched her inappropriately several times.

Trespass warning at 213 Bay State Road

Officers responded to a group that caused disturbance at a meeting for the Combined Jewish Philanthropies at The Florence and Chafetz Hillel House Jan. 28 at 7:03 p.m. Several members of the BU Students for Justice for Palestine entered a closed meeting and the meeting organizers requested that they be removed. Officers removed the group.

Criminal harassment at 19 Deerfield St.

A female employee reported a 37-year-old non-affiliated male had been calling the office to complain about his denial from a BU program Jan. 28 at 1:48 p.m. The caller stated that he was the victim of discrimination and has filed a claim with the BU Equal Opportunity Office.

Assault at 700 Commonwealth Ave.

A female student reported assault by a male student Jan. 27 at 9:38 p.m. The victim stated she was coming out of her room when the male suspect approached her in the hallway and pushed her. The victim reported the male party asked for a romantic relationship, she declined and he had since been sending harassing and threatening text messages.

Medical assist at 685 Commonwealth Ave.

Officers responded to a 32-year-old female student who had been struck by a bicyclist Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. The bicyclist, a 43-year-old non-affiliated male, was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for further treatment. The victim declined further medical treatment.

Criminal harassment at 728 Commonwealth Ave.

Officers responded to an unwanted male party banging on the door of a female student Sunday at approximately 10:35 p.m. The victim stated the male party was her former boyfriend. The male party, identified as a 23-year-old non-affiliate, was removed and issued a trespass warning from all BU property.
