Campus Crime Logs: Oct. 21 – Oct. 22

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Oct. 21 to Oct. 22.

Arrest made for open and gross lewdness at Dugout Cafe

BUPD received a report on Saturday at 3:26 p.m. of a male masturbating inside his car while parked in front of 722 Commonwealth Ave. The suspect was arrested, and his car was towed on account of blocking access to a fire hydrant.

Lyft car almost strikes pedestrian in front of 7-Eleven

A caller reported on Sunday at 3:47 a.m. that they witnessed a Lyft vehicle almost strike someone in front of 872 Commonwealth Ave., before coming to a stop, partially in the road, with the driver slumped over the wheel.

Carbon monoxide alarm at Buswell Street residence

BUPD received a report on Sunday at 11:16 p.m. of dangerous carbon monoxide levels at 1A Buswell St. Levels were found to be high only in the basement, and boilers were shut off.
