The Boston University women’s golf team had a sweet and sour start to the season this weekend at the Dartmouth Invitational as it placed 17th overall out of 22 teams at Hanover (N.H.) Country Club.
Staying positive and staying patient will be the word for this year’s Boston University women’s golf team. Coming off a disappointing fifth place finish in last year’s Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament, the team looks forward to this year with new eyes as it gets its start in the Dartmouth Invitational this weekend.
In golf, it’s a plus to be able to hit the ball 300 yards. But if the ball isn’t hit straight, its distance means as much as the color of the tee that it’s hit off.
The Boston University women’s golf team embraced the new Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with force, confidence and pride this past weekend in Hanover, N.H., home of Dartmouth College’s Women’s Golf Invitational. The team finished 14th of 20 teams in its second competition of the season.
