The Boston University softball team came away from the Hofstra University Invitational this weekend with three wins and a loss.
On Saturday, the Terriers (10-10) beat Hofstra (13-4), 9-4, and defeated the University of Connecticut (6-13), 6-4. The next day, they disposed of UConn again, 9-1, but had trouble with Hofstra, losing 2-1.
Six days after putting the finishing touches on a 3-1 weekend with a win over Indiana University on March 14, the Boston University softball team will look to climb over .500 for the first time this season over a four-game stretch vs. Hofstra University and the University of Connecticut.
Just three tournaments into its season, the Boston University softball team has already lost four infielders to injury. The Terriers entered the season with two injured infielders, and then lost the other two players the week before and during spring break.
