Nunic, Corrao lose in finals at Harvard Fall Classic

The Boston University women’s tennis team started off their season at the Harvard Fall Classic in Cambridge at the Beren Tennis Center this past weekend. Two Terriers reached the finals, while others finished with up and down results.

Led by the play of freshman Stefanie Nunic, the No. 62 women’s tennis team captured its 16th-consecutive America East Tournament title Sunday with a 4-1 victory over Binghamton University at the Yale Tennis Center.

Men finish fourth in AE tourney

The Boston University men’s tennis team finished in fourth place at the America East Tournament at Yale Tennis Center on Saturday, wrapping up the 2008-09 season and the final matches for the team’s three seniors ‘-’- Miron Nissim, Tim Sichler and Charles Weinstein.

M. tennis bests Holy Cross, 7-0

The Boston University men’s tennis team picked up steam in its 7-0 win Tuesday against the College of Holy Cross as it heads toward the America East Tournament next Friday. The Terriers did not drop a single set and won all three doubles and all six singles matches in a swift victory on the Holy Cross courts.

W. tennis topples No. 75 USF, 5-2

With Opening Day in the rearview mirror, baseball is in the air. But before Boston switches its focus to Fenway, another, more subtle team, is vying for the city’s (or at least Boston University’s) attention: the No. 73 BU women’s tennis team.
