Students can check out their 2004-05 housing options on the George Sherman Union’s second floor today during “Housing Expo 2004,” which will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., according to Director of Housing Marc Robillard.
Around 2,000 students are expected to attend the event, which provides information about all on-campus housing options, Robillard said in an email.
Resident assistants, Residence Hall Association members and full-time residence staff will be on hand to answer questions about each type of residence, including specialty housing. Students who want more detailed information about a residence can view floor plans and apartment description books at the expo.
“All that the students need is an open mind and a sense of exploration,” Robillard said.
Students’ residence license agreements can be turned in at the event, along with the $500 payment to secure an on-campus housing spot.
“I’m going to the BU Housing Expo to look at suite styles and triple styles,” said College of Communication freshman Megan Ziobro. “What I hope to get out of it is a list of choices that would work for me.”
Free cotton candy, popcorn and soda will be provided, and WTBU DJs will emcee the event with music and prize giveaway contests.
Actual room selection will begin in early April.
