Cell phone service provider Sprint Nextel Corp. will slash its digital music download price from $2.49 to 99 cents per song, according to Reuters. The move, announced on Monday, will bring Sprint’s prices into line with downloading fees charged by Apple, Inc. through its iTunes music service, Reuters reported. The new price, which will take effect in April, is $1 lower than the fee charged by Sprint’s rival service provider Verizon Wireless, the report said.
