The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from March 11-17.
BUPD received a report at 1:01 a.m. March 14 of a motor-vehicle accident outside the College of Communication. One party suffered a head injury.
BUPD officers and Boston Police Department and Boston Fire Department officials responded to the scene.
NOT MY ODDS
BUPD received a report at 1:48 a.m. March 16 of 10 people attacking one person in a large fight outside 833 Beacon St.
Officers responded to the scene as the fight was ending, and officers cleared the area.
WINDOW SMASH
BUPD received a report at 5:00 p.m. March 10 of a party smashing a window on the front side of 708 Commonwealth Ave.
Officers responded and concluded that no one had gained access to the building. The Facilities Management and Planning Office was notified to repair the window.
SMOKE, BUT NO FIRE
BUPD received a report at 7:11 p.m. March 17 of the smell of smoke coming from an on-campus apartment-style residence at 860 Beacon St.
BFD officials checked 860 and 862 Beacon St. but found nothing. Neither of the residences’ fire alarms sounded.
STOLEN BIKE
BUPD received a report at 9:08 p.m. March 11 of a male party running up a parking lot ramp in the Engineering Manufacturing Annex with a bike that may have been stolen.
Officers responded to the scene, caught the party and filed a criminal complaint.
FARE GAME
BUPD received a report at 7:10 p.m. March 14 from a cab driver who said he was assaulted outside 874 Commonwealth Ave.
BUPD notified the Brookline Police Department.
LOW CLEARANCE
BUPD received a report at 5:25 a.m. March 15 of an oversized truck stuck under a bridge on Storrow Drive.
BUPD notified the Massachusetts State Police.
PLEDGE QUIETLY
BUPD received a report at 12:49 a.m. March 16 of a loud group outside 140 Bay State Rd.
Officers responded to this scene for the second time that night and determined the group was pledging for a fraternity.
The group then reentered the building.
FALSE ALARM
BUPD received a report at 12:15 a.m. March 17 of a fire alarm sounding at 155 Bay State Rd.
Officers responded and arrived as residents of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology fraternity house were evacuating the building.
The BFD and MIT Police were notified and dispatched to the area.
It was later determined to be a false alarm.
SERIAL PULLER
BUPD received a report at 3 a.m. March 17 of a fire alarm sounding for the third time at the College of Fine Arts.
Facilities Management found a security tape showing a male party pulling the alarm all three times.
HAPPY ENDING
BUPD received a report at 5:35 p.m. March 17 of a 9-year-old child who was found missing outside Agganis Arena.
An officer responded and walked with the child to where they believed the child’s father was located.
The father was found and was reunited with his child.
