Boston University’s African Presidential Archives and Research Center will host seven former African heads of state for a two-day conference at BU starting today.
Former presidents from Botswana, Cape Verde, Ghana, Benin, Zambia, Mauritius and Tanzania will discuss the continent’s economic problems, particularly since Sept. 11. The leaders will present the issues publicly tonight in the Tsai Center.
The leaders will also celebrate current APARC president-in-residence Kenneth Kaunda’s birthday Wednesday at the Four Seasons Hotel to conclude the conference.
