As part of the budget proposal before the MA house of representatives, they are proposing to cut all state funding to rape crisis centers and sexualand domestic violence services to under-served communities. This is absolutely unforgivable. For instance, fully 50% of the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center’s budget comes from this funding,allowing them to offers a hotline, medical and legal advocacy, and public education services.
To keep this from happening, I urge all BU students to write, call, or e-mail your state representative.
