America’s most eligible bachelor, Flava Flav, bounced back from his break-up with Hoopz, and decided to give the Flavor of Love one more chance with a second go-around. The season started out with Somethin’ defacating on Flav’s floor, and Flav dumping her. Will Flav find the needle in this hoe-stack? We’ll find out as this season of Flavor of Love continues.
The Simple Life 3 paired ex-BFFs Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton for one last try. The girls each had to stay with a family for a day and take on all the normal duties of the family’s mother. Maternal scenes included Richie stuffing a four-year-old’s bra for picture day and Hilton taking a family of little people on a camping trip in a Hilton Hotel. If these two loving women can’t learn to forgive and forget and reunite their friendship, what chance do any of us have?
Laguna Beach also premiered its third season, this time without real life “mean girl” Kristin Cavallari. This year, a sweet brunette, Tessa, is hosting the show … boring. Luckily, queen bee Kyndra follows in Cavallari’s bitchy ways. Kyndra has enough blonde hair, lip gloss and predictable catty remarks to keep the show kind of interesting.
Lauren Conrad (aka LC), one of Laguna’s original cast members, returned to MTV in The Hills. This show only proved MTV had enough pull to get Conrad an internship at Teen Vogue, but not enough to buy her a personality (or a brain – choosing her meathead boyfriend over a summer interning for Vogue in Paris? Worst. Decision. Ever.)
On to a show that your boyfriend might actually have watched — Prison Break debuted the first episode of its second season this summer. The show, a must-see about an engineer (Wentworth Miller) who is trying to break his brother out of prison, has a counter-intuitive name at this point and now follows the fraternal inmate and some friends as they run from the authorities. Good plot and hot guys … enough said.
