Fall fashion trends to look for include: simplicity, oversized pieces, and contrast between shaping on top and bottom. With that in mind, here are some ways to reuse summer attire appropriately for the fall:

— Use nicer shorts with cuffed bottoms to wear over opaque tights.

— Keep summer leggings and exchange your flip-flops and flats for ankle boots.

— Big belts that you wore over long tank tops can be used over a shirtdress or a sweaterdress.

— Also, hang on to the big, long necklaces, especially the gold ones, and double up on the chains.

— Continue wearing shirtdresses over turtlenecks with tights.

— Adding red to your wardrobe can give summer clothes an autumn look, so just throw a sweater or belt over your white summer pieces.
