Hi Daily Free Press! I’ve been reading you guys every day since I got to campus (I’m a freshman) and I noticed you guys put a lot of ads up for yourself. I’d love to join the team, but I’ve never done any newsworthy work before, although I’ve always been interested in entertainment journalism. I tend to take apart a lot of movies, commercials, TV shows, celebrity personalities, unfairness in the general show business, and ramble informally about different aspects (My latest being on the season opener of Dawson’s Creek). They would pretty much be opinion pieces, and I’d wonder how many people would be that interested, but I think at the end of the day, it’d be awesome to have my name as a byline in a newspaper. I might never get an offer admitting this, but I don’t know how well I write, as I tend to just write what comes into my head as the thought process flows along. I’d be interested in doing any other writing work on a regular but sparse basis. I’m still getting into the time management swing of things. =) Let me know. I think this would be a really fun opportunity. Thanks DFP!
