The following reports were taken from the Allston-Brighton District 14’s crime logs from Nov. 14 to Nov. 20.
Police arrested two men for distribution of crack-cocaine on the corner of Harvard Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
The arrest came during the investigation of Josiah Gomes, 22, a drug dealer using rental cars listed under his mother’s name to sell marijuana and cocaine.
While staking out his apartment at 63 Stadium Way, officers saw Gomes on the street corner talking to another man. Once the man left, Gomes began pacing the street and before he finally entered a black Plymouth.
Officers tailed Gomes as he drove down Brighton Avenue until he stopped in an access road near Harvard Avenue. He got out of his car and paced nervously waiting to meet someone.
After several minutes, Tommy Washington, 55, already known to officers from previous crack-cocaine arrests, approached Gomes and got inside his car.
The two slowly drove off to Commonwealth Avenue and Allston Street, passing the concealed officers on the way. Once Gomes dropped Washington off at a T-stop, officers approached him and asked him to surrender his drugs. Maintaining his innocence, Gomes told the officers he did not by anything, but handed two plastic baggies of cocaine when they pressed him further.
Meanwhile, Gomes returned to his apartment where he was met by two officers. Police arrested Gomes and seized $126 and his cellular phone.
TEED OFF
Three unidentified assailants attacked an Allston resident with a golf club early Sunday morning while attempting to break into his house on 74 Chester St.
The victim told police, who arrived immediately after the attack, that he argued with the assailants in front of his house earlier in the night. Hours later, the assailants returned and began shouting threats before trying to enter his house.
As the assailants attempted to break into his house, the victim grabbed a golf club and “threatened” his attackers at the front door. When the first assailant saw the golf club, he grabbed it away from the victim and threw him to the ground, where he and his two friends kicked and beat the victim with his own club.
After beating the resident, the three men drove off in taxicabs toward Brighton Avenue.
A COUPLE OF CROOKS
Police arrested two Roxbury residents Saturday night suspected of perpetrating a wave of armed robberies in Allston since the beginning of the month.
Officers saw Tanisha Gray, 19, clasd in a black puffy jacket, and her boyfriend, Corey Johnson, 17, wearing a black ski mask, jacket and do-rag walking down Allston Street. They fit descriptions of two thieves involved in four armed robberies that took place within a half-mile of the area in the last three weeks.
When officers approached Johnson, he told officers his name was Jalik Toombs. He answered officers’ questions and said that he would to accompany them to the police station.
When officers questioned Johnson at the station, he admitted he and his girlfriend committed three robberies with a knife, including one the night before.
